Century Fire Sprinklers Incorporated, was, "Born out of adversity in 1981", according to an article in Kansas City Corporate Report, in July 1987. The article quotes Company Founder, Lin McCool, who started the company to install sprinkler systems for commercial, retail and industrial businesses. The Company and its associates endured an economic downturn in the beginning days. Former company President, Lin McCool credited the company’s success to timing and good associates. Associates are given opportunity and latitude to develop their skills into what will best benefit the Company’s mission of installing durable fire protection systems.

Century Fire Sprinklers, Inc. has a stellar reputation in the automobile industry for performance. The two Company offices in Kansas City, Kansas and St Louis, Missouri are close to large automotive plants operated by General Motors and Ford Motor Company. Century Fire Sprinklers, Inc. quickly established their reputation in the automotive industry and has installed fire protection systems in automobile plants in Illinois, Minnesota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Ontario, Canada, in addition to Missouri and Kansas.

Century Fire Sprinklers, Inc. has established a reputation with non-automotive accounts with customers as Anheuser Busch, Certainteed Corporation, Sanofi Aventis, May Company and many others. Sprinkler installations have been completed at several hospitals and health centers, many shopping centers and retail organizations in the Midwest.

Several sprinkler fitter associates have long term employment records with the Company.

Century Fire Sprinklers, Inc. has also benefited by experienced and qualified associates in the sales, engineering and administrative areas. Some individuals have remained with the Company electing not to retire and continue to make significant contributions to the Company’s success. Other associates have been added at strategic times to continue the professional performance in the fire protection industry.
